Our ionic detox foot bath is an easy and relaxing way to rid your body of toxins that build up from years of exposure to environmental toxins and foods that we digest each day. Our feet alone have over 7,200 nerve endings and over 2,000 sweat glands in them. In addition, our arteries and veins cross each other in the feet, making them a natural gateway for the disposal of waste products from our body. As the first line of your body’s defense, toxins will actually attach themselves to your fat cells instead of to your organs. If the body doesn’t properly eliminate these toxins, however, they will attack organs. This is where illness and disease to creep in.

The combination of water, that is approximately 105*F and sea salt form a mineral concentration similar to the ocean in a copper tub placed at your feet. An electrical module made up of metal plates is then placed into the tub. This module is a positive anode and a negative cathode that is connected to a small machine that sends out an ionic charge though the plates and into the water. The ionic signal actually breaks down the water into its molecular components of hydrogen and oxygen. In doing this, you end up with free negative and positive ions circling around in the water solution. It is these positive and negative charges that pull the toxins from the body through the pores in your feet. The ionic current that runs through the modules is safe for children above the age of eight. However, it is advised that anyone with a pacemaker or women who may be pregnant should not participate in this therapy.

The ionic foot bath is beneficial in many different ways. Let’s start with detoxification, the process of ridding our bodies of impurities, which in turn limit natural body functions to occur as they should. Every one of our cells has an optimal voltage level. They decrease as toxins and stresses increase. During a detox foot bath, an ionic charge is released into the water. This raises the voltage of the cells to their optimal levels and increases the cells abilities to function normally and to absorb nutrients and oxygen again. It eliminates toxins that are stored in fat, kidneys, liver, bowels, and skin. The foot bath also triggers the body’s lymphatic system, which helps with continuing detoxification for up to 24 to 48 hours after a session.

Physical Benefits

A detox foot bath makes joint movement easier in the knees and elbows. It’s an alternative medicine option for people who suffer chronic lymphatic and bone pain. Detoxification also promotes weight loss, as it rids your body of crippling chemicals and raises your metabolism to higher levels.

Mental Benefits

There are mental benefits of a detox foot bath, too. Some of those are mental clarity and enhanced mental relaxation. People who enjoy detox foot baths say the treatments help them think better and stimulate their memory. Other mental benefits are better sleep.
